Hi everyone, and welcome to my new blog. I’m laughing at myself right now because I have no delusions that anyone out there is actually reading this besides my husband, but I’ll humor myself and keep going anyway. Writing has become my way of processing and dealing with hard things, so I figured the internet would become home to yet another self-indulgent blog. Some of my posts will be writings that I have done in the past, and some will be new stuff as I navigate my new life as an atheist Mormon housewife. I’m not new to Mormonism, I’m a few years in to housewifery, but the atheist stuff is very new to me. So I hope this blog can be a source of comfort, humor, friendship, and strength for someone out there, just as I hope to find these same feelings for myself in the process.

My Mormon Cred:

Born in Utah, raised on the east coast.  I come from a family of 7.  My parents come from pioneer stock and all 5 kids graduated from BYU, got married in the temple and my parents now have 19 grandkids.  We rarely missed a day of church in our lives.  My parents held many leadership callings throughout my life including bishop, stake presidency, all auxiliary presidencies…you get the point.  We are about as Mormon as they come.  I was 100%, temple recommend holding, fully active, true believing until 2012, when the crap hit the fan.  (See, I’m so Mormon I can’t even bring myself to use real expletives!)

    1. I don’t even know where to point you! I’m new to this blogging thing and I couldn’t find a place on my blog to allow followers either. I have followers, so I know there must be a way…Sorry, I’m not very helpful, but thanks for reading!
